Wenzel Hablik Museum

Reichenstr. 21, 25524 Itzehoe

The life and work of Wenzel Hablik is exhibited in the listed merchant’s house as part of a permanent exhibition. Originally from Bohemia, Hablik chose Itzehoe as his new home in 1907, and worked here as an architect, designer, painter and visionary until his death in 1934. He is considered one of the major representatives of German architectural Expressionism. Regular special exhibitions on art, architecture and design supplement the programme.
