Schleibrücke Kappeln

The Schleibrücke bridge in Kappeln is an impressive structure with a rich history dating back to 1867. Originally built as a pontoon bridge, it served as an important transport link for the merchants of Kappeln. With a length of 180 meters and 18 cranes that made it possible to open the bridge, it was a masterpiece of its time. Since 2000, the Schleibrücke has presented itself in its current form as a double-leaf bascule bridge.
