Museums in the Rendsburg Cultural Center
The Historical Museum in the Rendsburg Cultural Center, nestled in the historic Arsenal building and surrounded by the picturesque old town and the town park, is a real gem for history and culture lovers. After a comprehensive redesign, it presents the fascinating history of Rendsburg and the Kiel Canal (Nord-Ostsee-Kanal), the world's busiest artificial waterway, on over 800 m². With innovative media and activity stations that appeal to both children and adults, as well as a large number of selected exhibits, paintings and uniforms that have never been shown in this form before, the museum delights its visitors. The exhibition is also accessible in English and Danish thanks to QR codes. The museum also houses a room for temporary special exhibitions and a café, in which the extensive tin toy collection of the Rendsburg collector couple Jahnke has found a prominent place. A visit to the Historical Museum in the Rendsburg Cultural Center is an unforgettable experience that offers a deep insight into the town's rich history and culture.
