Mill bridge
The Mühlenbrücke is a historical gem that reflects the history of Neumünster. Until 1981, there was a corn mill here that used the water power of the Schwale. The pond was dammed to tap into this source of energy. In 1899, the town of Neumünster acquired the mill pond and pond bed from the miller Tode, which underlines the importance of this location. The so-called Todesche Mühle was moved to the outskirts of the town in 1983 and the site on Lütjenstraße was redeveloped. However, the name "Zur Mühle" was retained and today adorns a popular restaurant. This place is a living testimony to the town's industrial history and a must-see for every visitor. The Mühlenbrücke is not only a historical site, but also a meeting place where you can enjoy the local cuisine and experience the history of Neumünster up close.
