The provostry of Rendsburg built several churches in the years after the Second World War.
One of the first to be built was the Petruskirche in Nübbel in 1957. In 1963, St. Matthew's Church in the village of Alt-Duvenstedt was completed. For the village of Fockbek, the church building of St. Paul's Church could not be realized until 1981.
