Liliencron House
Nestled in the picturesque small town of Kellinghusen, the Liliencron House tells a story of poetry and inspiration. The renowned poet and prose writer Detlev von Liliencron spent seven formative years of his life here, during which he worked as a parish bailiff. Hauptstraße 31, once Liliencron's official residence, is now home to the police and the town archives. However, a memorial stone commemorates the building's literary past and the poet's aura can still be felt today. The surrounding landscape of Störkathen Heath, with its untouched beauty, often served Liliencron as a muse for his works. A visit to the Liliencron House is therefore not only an excursion into the world of literature, but also an invitation to discover the breathtaking nature that once inspired the poet. The best time to visit is spring, when the heather is in full bloom and the landscape is bathed in a sea of color. An unforgettable experience for all those who are equally enthusiastic about literature and nature.
