The picturesque Holsteiner Auenland is home to three fascinating forest nature and adventure trails with attractions such as a viewing tower and a hidden forest spring. These trails offer active recreation, exciting discoveries and breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. The Ketelvierth nature trail near Großenaspe offers four different circular trails that are between 2.5 and 6 km long. Visitors can explore the near-natural forests, colorful orchards, dry grasslands and old gravel pits and learn interesting facts about nature along the way. A special highlight is the 12-metre-high observation tower, which offers a sweeping view over the Holstein floodplain. To the north of Kellinghusen is the Störkathener Heide forest nature trail, which invites visitors to marvel, discover and try things out at 12 interactive stations. Here, visitors can hide in a real fox's den, make a phone call to a tree or play a tree xylophone. The Hasselbusch forest nature trail, located southwest of Mönkloh, offers a short, leisurely discovery tour. On this fixed path, visitors can immerse themselves deep into the forest and playfully learn which bird sings up there and how to recognize the different trees.
