Folding chair culture Kellinghusen e.V.
Klappstuhlkultur Kellinghusen e.V. is a living example of creative cultural work. An abandoned DIY store has been transformed into a place of encounter and exchange that regularly shows films and organizes events such as concerts and dance nights. The name Klappstuhlkultur (folding chair culture) came from the original idea that every visitor should bring their own folding chair. The former DIY store counter was painted red and now serves as a place for drinks and snacks. Since its foundation in 2013, Klappstuhlkultur Kellinghusen e.V. has become an integral part of the cultural landscape of the Steinburg district. The diverse program includes films, tango argentino, milonga and laboratory, concerts, dance festivals, theater, exhibitions and workshops. All members of the association work on a voluntary basis and with great enthusiasm to create a special cultural offering and share it with people in the region and beyond. Klappstuhlkultur Kellinghusen e.V. is a unique place that inspires culture enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. It is a place that shows how a lively and diverse cultural landscape can emerge from a simple idea.
