The Elbe bathing area in Brokdorf, a picturesque district of Osterende, is a hidden gem on the Elbe. Located just 12 km up the Elbe from Brunsbüttel, this place offers a breathtaking backdrop for a relaxing day at the beach. Access is easy via the B 431, also known as the Green Coastal Road, and there is ample parking, including for motorhomes. The Elbe bathing area is not only a paradise for swimmers, but also a popular resting place for cyclists riding along the Elbe Cycle Route (Elberadweg). Those who prefer to stay ashore can enjoy long walks on the beach, always accompanied by a fresh breeze and the impressive sight of sailing ships and container giants crossing the Elbe. The bathing area is equipped with a kiosk and toilets and even offers temporary bathing supervision. Swimming at high tide is recommended. Please note, however, that there are no shaded sunbathing areas here. A special highlight is the sunset over the Elbe, which makes every visit to Brokdorf an unforgettable experience.
