Linden avenue Seestermühe

The Lindenallee Seestermühe, a historical jewel dating back to 1710, is an impressive testimony to Baroque garden design. With almost 600 trees lining the 700-metre-long path, it provides a picturesque backdrop for a walk through history. The path, flanked by four rows of majestic lime trees, leads straight to a former teahouse that now serves as a residence. A small section of canal, lined with hornbeams, completes the idyllic picture. The Seestermühe avenue of lime trees is a protected nature reserve and a living monument to 18th century garden design. It is closely associated with Baron Caspar Voght, who laid the foundation stone for today's Baumschulland. A walk through the Lindenallee Seestermühe is not only an excursion into the past, but also a tribute to the art of garden architecture and the beauty of nature.
