Garden by the fresh water
The "Garten am frischen Wasser" in Eutin, run by the Evangelical Church District of Ostholstein, is a place of peace and contemplation that invites visitors to linger under the 150-year-old feather beeches and enjoy the view of the lake. For many, this garden has established itself as a kind of "church under the trees", a place of encounter and spiritual reflection. There are various stations along the circular path, including a wishing tree, a baptismal fountain and lime tree stumps, which encourage visitors to reflect on the profound questions of life and appreciate the beauty of nature. For those who wish to embark on a spiritual journey, the garden offers the possibility of a pilgrimage walk through the castle garden. Informative flyers entitled "Rauswege - Pilgern durch den Schlossgarten" are available. In addition to the regular devotions held by volunteers, the "Garten am frischen Wasser" also hosts church services, concerts, discussion groups, storytelling evenings and many other events. The garden is open from Sunday to Friday between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm and offers a varied program until the end of October.
