Christian Lassen's Minde Museum

Christian Lassen's Minde Museum is a fascinating window into the past that brings the history of rural life around 1900 to life. It is located on the Lassen family's historic farm, which was rebuilt in 1892 after a fire. The original rooms, including the parlor, kitchen and taproom, offer an authentic insight into everyday life at the time. The experience is complemented by an exhibition about the Jardelunder Moor. The farm, which was founded in 1721, had a long tradition as a tavern. The museum, which opened in 2004, preserves the original furnishings, which were used by the Lassen family until the very end. Christian Lassen, the last inhabitant of the farm, was a dedicated farmer and co-founder of the SSF in Medelby after the war. His deep connection to farming can be felt in the museum. Christian Lassen's Minde Museum not only offers an insight into the life of the Lassen family, but also into the development of the village of Jardelund and the history of the Danish minority in the region. In addition to the exhibitions, agricultural machinery and tools can be admired in the stable and barn. A 1.4 km long walking route through Jardelund invites you to explore. You are allowed to bring your own food and enjoy it in the garden or in the museum in good weather.
