From Glückstadt on the Elbe, the cycle route leads via the vacation resorts of Itzehoe, Bad Bramstedt, Bad Segeberg, Plön, Eutin, Neustadt, Oldenburg in Holstein and Heiligenhafen to Puttgarden on the sunny island of Fehmarn. If you want to cycle even further, take the ferry to Rødby in Denmark and follow the Monks' Trail (Munkevejen) to Roskilde.
