You’ll find a large supermarket less than 100 meters from the apartment, and there are numerous other shopping options within walking distance.
The train station is just 700 meters away. From there, you can reach Kiel—the capital of beautiful Schleswig-Holstein, only 20 km away—in 15 minutes. Here you’ll find a lively downtown, a wide range of recreational activities, and the Kiel Fjord, where the “Kiel Week”—the world’s largest sailing event—takes place every summer.
Many of the magnificent Baltic Sea beaches are also located in the immediate vicinity. Neumünster is 12 km away; by train, the trip takes about 10 minutes. In addition to the “Holsten Galerie” shopping center, you’ll find the Designer Outlet Center—which is perfect for extended shopping trips—as well as the Holstenhallen, where major events and trade shows, such as “NordBau,” are regularly held.
The North Sea coast is about 80 km away and the Baltic Sea is about 30 km away—both easily accessible by car, bus, or train.
