Hotel Anno 1216

Spend the night in the midst of history
In Lübeck's oldest secular brick house still in existence, you will be welcomed by a small, individual hotel that combines historical ambience with modern living comfort.
The listed brick building in the old town with its striking gable facing the river Trave is today one of the last grand patrician houses in the city of Lübeck and a cultural monument of the first rank. Its different stylistic periods from different centuries provide an interesting insight into Lübeck's history.
The Hotel Anno 1216 on the Untertrave is centrally located in the Old Town in the immediate vicinity of the Holsten Gate, St. Mary's Church and Buddenbrook House.

The spacious entrance hall overlooking a typical Lübeck courtyard gives a first impression of the historic building.
The furnishings, consistently designed with modern and antique furniture, are a deliberate combination of styles that can be found throughout the house.
You have a choice of six double rooms, two single rooms and three suites. Each room has a special story to tell, which the hotel guest can read on a wall plaque to get an understanding of the history of the house and the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.
